Clemson Notes:

  • The 2019 season marks Clemson’s 43rd as a program and third under the direction of current head coach Michaela Franklin.

  • Clemson also earned two postseason victories, a first in program history, with wins over Alabama A&M and Radford in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC).
  • The Tigers are returning three 2018 All-ACC selections in Brooke Bailey (Second Team), Gabby Easton (All-Freshman) and Solei Thomas (All-Freshman), which also marked the first time since 2011 Clemson collected three ACC postseason selections.
  • Friday’s matchup against Georgia marks the first since 2005 the two programs have squared off – and first in Jervey Gym since 2004.
  • Clemson is 5-0 all-time against the Terriers and 4-0 in Jervey Gym.
  • The Tigers and Kennesaw State have only met twice in program history – in 2017 and 2018 – with the Owls holding the edge, 2-0.
  • Kaylin Korte is slated to return to the court for the first time (officially) since the final match of 2017 against Miami (Nov. 24). Korte recorded her fifth career double-double in that match with a team-high 16 kills along with 10 digs.
