CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball took care of business in three sets Friday evening in Jervey Gym, sweeping Georgia State, 25-20, 25-18, 25-14. Hitters Kaylin Korte, Brooke Bailey and Alyssa Deloney impressed for the Tigers in route to helping Clemson go a perfect 2-0 to close out its final home match of the 2018 spring season.
“I thought we did a good job of taking care of the ball on our side of the net,” said Michaela Franklin, who is entering her second season as Clemson head coach. “We’ve been working hard this spring to be sure to send ball across net with an aggressive swing and it’s starting to transition into gameplay. Tonight we had an awesome atmosphere, great fan support. It’s always fun to play at home in front of an atmosphere like that.”
The Tigers close out their 2018 spring season at South Carolina April 21 (Saturday) for a three-match tournament against Appalachian State, Wofford and the Gamecocks.
