Volleyball Defeats Maryland 3-0

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tiger volleyball team improved to 7-8 overall and 2-1 in the ACC with a 3-0 (15-11, 15-6, 15-8) win over the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland drops to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in league play.

Jodi Steffes led the Tigers with 16 kills and 13 digs while Kiki Dallao had 15 kills with seven digs and three blocks (one solo). Meredith Kirtland tallied 11 kills with eight digs and two service aces. Jessi Betcher handed out 49 assists with 11 digs.

Maryland’s Carey Brennan led the Terrapins with a match-high18 kills and ten digs. Lindsay Davey tallied a match-high 16 digs with 41 assists while Nnenna Amobi had four blocks (one solo) with eight kills.

Clemson hosts the University of Virginia Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. at Jervey Gym. Admission is free to all home volleyball matches.
