Vickery Hall Women’s Student-Athlete of the Week – Becca Brown, Laura D’Urso, Sam Duggan, Emily Massey and Julia Ost

Sport: RowingAthletic Highlights: The Clemson boat of coxswain Emily Massey, stroke Laura D’Urso, Sam Duggan, Becca Brown and Julia Ost finished first out of 20 crews at the Rivanna Romp in Charlottesville, VA on November 13. Virginia finished in second place, about four seconds behind the Clemson boat.

“We passed two other crews early in the race, and this gave us some confidence as we tried to catch Virginia,” said Varsity 4 Stroke Laura D’Urso. “We knew we were moving well, and had a real boost as we passed the last boat before Virginia, who started three places ahead of us. It was a great end to the fall season.”
