Track And Field Teams To Host Twilight And Multi-Event Meets This Weekend

The Clemson men’s and women’s track and field teams will host a pair of meets this weekend, Jan. 28-29. On Friday evening, the Tigers and Lady Tigers will host Alabama, Georgia Tech and Western Carolina in the Clemson Tiger Twilight Meet. That event will get underway at 5:00 PM and conclude at approximately 9:00 PM.

The Clemson Heptathlon/Pentathlon meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, with a field of 20 men and 18 women from Alabama, Alabama-Birmingham, Appalachian State, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Tech and Western Carolina. That meet will begin at 12:30 PM on Friday with the pentathlon 60m hurdles, and will finish at 5:10 PM with the 800m. The heptathlon will commence at 2:30 PM on Friday with the 60m dash, and day one will end after the high jump competition scheduled for 5:10 PM. On Saturday, the heptathlon will resume with the 60m Hurdles at 11:00 AM, and conclude with the 1000m at 2:00 PM.
