Tigers Open Six Game Homestand With Ducks, Bulldogs

Clemson, S.C. – Coming off a weekend sweep in Nebraska, the 19th ranked Clemson women’s soccer team returns home for the next six games, opening up the homestand with the Oregon Ducks (2-1-1) and Georgia Bulldogs (2-2).

Scouting the Ducks

The Tigers have started their 2019 campaign off 4-0 as they look to seek revenge against the Ducks in a First Friday showdown. Last season the Tigers fell in a 1-0 heartbreaker on the road. Last year’s meeting between the schools marked the first time in history they had ever played one another. However, this season the Ducks have lost 4-0 to Santa Clara and had a 2-2 tie against Fresno State.

Scouting the Bulldogs

After the Friday matchup the Tigers will host the Georgia Bulldogs at Historic Riggs Field. Sunday’s game will mark the fourth time in five years the two schools have squared off. The Bulldogs have returned all 11 starters while also bringing back all statistical leaders from last season. However, similar to Clemson, the Bulldogs have added nine freshmen to their roster with eight of them seeing action this season.
