Last year, Clemson won two matches in Athens before falling to UCLA in the semifinals, 4-0.The Tigers defeated Texas A&M in the round of 16 by a score of 4-1 and edged Washington in the Elite Eight, 4-3. The Final Four appearance was the best performance in history by any Clemson women’s team in an NCAA tournament.

Should the Tigers advance to the next round, they would face the winner of the North Carolina/Vanderbilt contest. Clemson defeated the Tar Heels during the regular season, 5-2, on Apr. 16 to take a 30-12 lead in the series score. The Tigers and Commodores have only met on three previous occasions with Vanderbilt winning two of the matches. Clemson’s quarterfinal match would be played on Friday, May 20 at 11:00 AM.
