Should the Tigers advance to the next round, they would face the winner of the North Carolina/Vanderbilt contest. Clemson defeated the Tar Heels during the regular season, 5-2, on Apr. 16 to take a 30-12 lead in the series score. The Tigers and Commodores have only met on three previous occasions with Vanderbilt winning two of the matches. Clemson’s quarterfinal match would be played on Friday, May 20 at 11:00 AM.
