CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Volleyball Head Coach Michaela Franklin announced the addition of Caitlyn Meeks (Lemont, Ill./Montini Catholic HS) to the Tigers’ program on Monday. Meeks is a transfer defensive specialist/libero and comes to Clemson after playing one season at Georgia Southern.

“Caitlyn will add depth to our libero position and make an immediate impact for us this spring.” said Franklin. “She comes from a competitive club background and thrives in a competitive and structured environment. One of the things I’ve appreciated most through my conversations with her is how direct, straight-forward and even-keeled she is.”
Meeks, a native of Lemont, Illinois, will be eligible to play for the Tigers in the spring of 2021.
While at Georgia Southern, Meeks recorded 46 digs and an ace in 13 matches played as a true freshman for the Eagles in 2019. She also posted a season-high seven digs against Nicholls State (Aug. 31) and tallied at least five digs in six matches.
Prior to Georgia Southern, Meeks was a four-year letter winner at Montini Catholic High School, where she totaled 295 kills, 290 digs and 20 aces. As a senior, she earned all-conference honors. Meeks also guided the Broncos to three straight Regional 3A conference championships.
