Tigers in the Pros: April 22-28

The Tigers’ presence was felt around the nation this week as 10 former #ClemsonUnited players saw professional action over the weekend.

Major League Soccer (MLS)

Diego Campos (’17) made back-to-back starts for the Chicago Fire in a pair of 1-0 losses to NYCFC (April 24) and Montreal (April 28). Campos played all 90 minutes in the start at New York and saw 88 minutes of action at Montreal.

Tommy McNamara (’13) subbed on in the 72nd minute of the Houston Dynamo’s 2-0 victory over Columbus on April 27.

Joe Bendik (Columbus Crew SC)  and Andrew Tarbell (San Jose Earthquakes) both served as reserve options over the weekend.

United Soccer League (USL)

Patrick Bunk-Andersen (’18) started on the backline for Toronto FC II, totaling 90 minutes of action in the club’s 2-0 victory over Lansing on April 26.

Paul Clowes (’15) started for Greenville in a 0-0 draw with Forward Madison FC. The 2015 Clemson graduate played 89 minutes at midfield.

Amadou Dia (’14) started and played a full 90 minutes in Phoenix Rising FC’s 0-0 draw with Sacramento Republic FC on April 27.

Kyle Fisher (’15) played 70 minutes for Birmingham Legion FC in the club’s 1-0 win over Loudoun United FC on April 27.

Phanuel Kavita (‘14) started his eighth game of the season for Saint Louis FC, playing all 90 minutes in the team’s 3-1 win over the Swope Park Rangers on April 27.

Jack Metcalf (’13) stared in Atlanta United 2’s second match of the weekend, playing all 90 minutes in the team’s 2-0 loss to Ottawa on April 28.

Cody Mizell (’12) totaled seven saves on 10 shots faced in New Mexico United’s 3-3 draw against the Portland Timbers 2 on April 26.

Kyle Murphy (’15) saw 93 minutes of action in Loudoun United FC’s 1-0 loss to Birmingham on April 27.
