Notes

  • Clemson takes to the track for the first time in two weeks, having not been able to compete last Saturday at Texas A&M’s The Reveille due to thunderstorms, which forced numerous delays.
  • Saturday’s meet is set to commence at 9 a.m., however the first Clemson competitors are entered for the women’s 3000m, which is slated for 9:25 a.m.
  • The Tigers competed in just five field events at last weekend’s meet, which was highlighted by personal bests by Veronica Fraley (51.82m/170) and Grayce French (45.47m/149-2) in the discus and Chris McBride’s (7.53m/24-8.5) season best in the long jump.
  • French’s PR was good enough to crack the Tigers’ top-10 list in the discus, while Fraley remains at No. 2 all-time and Clemson’s freshman record holder in the event.
  • Both 4x100m relays are set to compete with the men going first at 2:15 p.m. The Tiger men are coming off a season best 39.59 from the Florida Relays, which currently stands at No. 13 in the NCAA, while the women (44:32) rank 23rd.
  • The 4x400m relays, which will seed Saturday, will conclude Saturday’s action at 6 p.m. The Clemson men (3:05.63), like the 4x100m, rank 13th in the NCAA. The Tiger women (3:32.67) currently rank sixth in the NCAA, which means both 4x400m relays are on track to qualify for the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
  • Individually, the Tigers are led by Lakeisha Warner in the 400mH (57.86) and Roje Stona (61.22/200-10). Warner ranks 10th in the NCAA and is entered in the 400mH Saturday, while Stona ranks fourth in the NCAA and will not compete this weekend.
  • Kamryn McIntosh and Andrea Foster are set to race side-by-side in section 1 of the women’s 800m (1:15 p.m.). Both rank inside of Clemson’s top-10 in the event.
  • Three Tigers in Morgan Wittrock, Mikie Harris and Michael Smith are all scheduled for Saturday’s 3000m steeplechase with the women going first at 5:10 p.m.
