Tigers Battle Princeton, Columbia

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson faced stiff competition and difficult racing conditions Saturday at Overpeck Park in Leonia, N.J. Princeton, ranked No. 8 in the latest USRowing/CRCA poll, took first in four different races. Clemson’s effort was highlighted by a pair of second-place finishes in the fours. Its First and Second Varsity 8+ boats both took third behind Princeton and Columbia.

The crews all faced consistent headwinds gusting to 20 miles per hour. The races featured a heavy chop over the middle 1500 meters as well, as reported by Columbia’s coaching staff.

The Tigers return to action April 8-9 in Gold River, Calif., for the Natoma Invitational.
