The Clemson Volleyball team was picked seventh of twelve teams in the ACC Preseason Poll as announced by the league on Tuesday. Two-time All-ACC selection Sandra Adeleye was also chosen to the preseason All-ACC team heading into her junior season.

Defending ACC Champion Duke was picked to win the league with 117 of 121 total points in the voting. Coaches were not able to vote for their own teams or players in the polls. Last season, five ACC teams made the NCAA Tournament, tying with the 2009 season for the most in league history.

Clemson was 18-13 a season ago, and 9-11 in conference play, which put them in ninth place. The Tigers had only one senior on that team, and she is returning as a grad student.

Adeleye is one of nine ACC honorable mention All-Americans to be named to the preseason All-ACC team. The junior from Katy, TX was named to the All-ACC team in each of her first two seasons. She led the Tigers last year with 407 kills and was second with 130 total blocks.

Clemson opens the season this Friday at 7:00 pm against Loyola in Jervey Gym as part of the 21st annual Big Orange Bash. Tennessee State and South Carolina State will play at 4:30 pm to kick things off. There are four matches on Saturday, with Clemson playing at noon and 6:00 pm. Fans can follow all the matches on gametracker or tune in on TigerCast to watch them live.
