Summer 2017 Dates Announced for Michaela Franklin Volleyball Camps

CLEMSON, S.C. – The dates have been announced for the Michaela Franklin Volleyball Camps for the summer of 2017. Franklin, who is beginning her first year as the Tigers’ head coach, is holding two overnight camps, two three-day day camps, one one-day team camp and several one-day clinics during the month of July.

ABOUT EACH CAMPTiger Elite: This camp is designed for advanced players with four or more years playing at the advanced club and/or varsity level and not intended for intermediate or beginner players. Tiger Elite Camp is designed to provide advanced training for athletes looking to take their game to the next level. Position numbers for this camp will be limited.

Tiger Camp 1 & 2: This camp is designed for players entering grades 5th – 8th. Tiger Camp will offer instruction & training in the skills and techniques of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense.

Setting Clinic: The Setting Clinic is designed for players entering grades 7th – 12th. The clinic will focus specifically on the fundamentals & specific skills of setting. For beginner to intermediate or advanced level volleyball athlete.

Passing Clinic: The Passing Clinic is designed for players entering grades 7th – 12th. The clinic will focus specifically on the fundamentals & specific skills of passing. For beginner to intermediate or advanced level volleyball athlete.

Defense Clinic: The Defense Clinic is designed for players entering grades 7th – 12th. The clinic will focus specifically on the fundamentals & specific skills of defense. For beginner to intermediate or advanced level volleyball athlete.

Hitting Clinic (Beginners): The attacking clinics are designed for athletes who are looking to enhance their offensive production. The Attacking beginner clinic will instill the fundamentals skills of attacking.

Hitting Clinic (Advanced): The attacking clinics are designed for athletes who are looking to enhance their offensive production. The attacking advanced clinic will focus on all aspects of attacking from skill development to block and pass transition.

Cub Camp: This camp is designed for players entering grades 2nd- 4th who want to have fun while learning the basic skills of volleyball. Cub camp will offer instruction and training in the skills and techniques of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense.

Serving Clinic (Beginner): The serving clinics are designed for athletes who are looking to work on their serve. Serving beginner will focus on the fundamental skills of serving and serving general will focus on all types of serves.

Serving Clinic (Advanced): The serving clinics are designed for athletes who are looking to work on their serve. Serving advanced will focus on jump float, jump top and standing float for speed and accuracy.

Team Camp: These TEAM CAMP sessions provide members of teams the opportunity to train together in skills and competitive drills and scrimmage games and tournament play.

Positional Camp: This camp is designed for beginning and intermediate level junior high & high school girls and will offer instruction and training in the skills and techniques of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense. Campers are divided by age, grade level, skill level, and years of experience to provide the optimal learning environment.
