Overview:  Senior who joins Zack Gordon as most experience Tiger on 2022-23 team…not a returning starter because he was sixth on the team in starts last year with six, but certainly has the experience to help the Tigers considerably this year…veteran of 12 tournaments and 34 rounds, including seven tournaments last year…has 74.76 career stroke average…capable of good rounds, 10 of his 34 career rounds are at par or better…got his junior year off to great start with eight-under-par 202 at the Maui Jim to finish in 17th place and help the Tigers to second place team finish…opened his freshman season of 2019-20 in the starting lineup at the Carpet Classic in Dalton, Georgia….that is his home course…came to Clemson as the #3 ranked player in Georgia and #26 overall player nationally in the class of 2019 by Golfweek…Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked him as the #2 player in Georgia and #20 overall player in the nation in he class of 2019

Summer 2022:  Played in three major amateur events…finished 40th at the Monroe Amateur with a 286 total…had consistent scores of 69-72-72-73…improved to 33rd at Southeast Amateur with a 210 total for 54 holes…had rounds of 68-71-71…finished 18th at the Dogwood Amateur with a 279 score after rounds of 69-67-73-70…shot in the 60s in the first round of each tournament…he finished fifth at the Dogwood in 2019.

In 2021-22: Starter in six of the 11 tournaments…had 75.05 stroke average for the year…had one top 10, two rounds in the 60s, three rounds under-par and six rounds at par or better…had two eagles in the Linger Longer Invitational in March…finished strong in tournaments with 73.14 average…averaged 3.19 on par threes, 4.07 on par fours and 4.64 on par fives…his par four average was second best on the team behind Jacob Bridgeman…had 38 birdies and three eagles for the year…his score counted in 12 of 16 team rounds…hit the fairway 65.5 percent of the time, third best on the team…had GIR percentage of 61.84…start the year off on fire with a 202 score for 54 holes at Maui Jim in Arizona… had 66 to open the year, he had a streak of four straight birdies at one point, tied for the longest streak of the year by any Tiger…had 70 in second round and 66 in final round…finished 17th to help Tigers to second-place finish among 14 team…had career high 17 birdies at the Maui Jim…also big contributor to Clemson’s victory at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst, he had the only top 10 of his career with seventh place finish…had rounds of 75-71-70 on the Pinehurst #2 course…starter at the Linger Longer, Valspar and ACC Tournament…played in seven tournaments, six as a starter…played as an individual at the Sharkey.

Summer 2021:  Had solid summer playing in four events…finished 35th at Palmetto Amateur…finished ninth with -6 score of 138 at US Amateur qualifier…finished fourth at Georgia PGA with 10-under-par score of 278…had opening round 78, but finished 66-69-65….finished 31st at Dogwood Amateur with five-under-par 283…had consistent rounds of 71-71-68-73.

In 2020-21:  Played just one tournament as an individual, he had even-par 216 at Kiawah Invitational to finish 35th individually.

2019-20: Had 75.17 stroke average for his 12 rounds …played in four tournaments, three in the fall and one in the spring…in Clemson lineup once…finished 37th in strong field at the Carpet Classic in his first career event…in his first round shot an even par 72….shot 10-over 226 for the 54 holes….his tournament included eight birdies…finished 24th at Maui Jim as an individual, he shot a 228 with a best round of 74 in first round…finished 69th at J.T. Poston, but did have a second-round 68 for his best round of the year…his score counted in all three rounds he played as member of the lineup….had best round of the day among Clemson players in the first round of his career, the opening round of the Carpet Classic when he shot 72….played in the individual tournament in Puerto Rico he finished 11th with 227 score…. finished the year with 29 birdies for his 12 rounds…had 4.76 stroke average on par five holes.

Before Clemson:   Finished 15th at Wyndham Junior Invitational…in 2017, he finished in top three of three AJGA events…finished second at AJGA of London and the Big I National Championship….finished third at the AJGA Bill Horschel…four-year letterman at Dalton High School in Dalton, Georgia…area Athlete of the Year for Spring Sports in 2018…in summer of 2019 just before coming to Clemson finished fifth at the Dogwood Invitational…shot -15, 273 at that event, he had rounds of 71-68-64-70…had nine birdies in the third round, he tied with Georgia All-American Spencer Ralston, whose father Mitch, played at Clemson.

Personal:  Born July 23, 2000…majoring in marketing with a minor in accounting….began playing golf at age of four…chose Clemson over Vanderbilt just three days after his campus visit in August of 2017.
