A native of Smyrna, Tennessee, Rebecca has gained vital experience in her three seasons at Utah State and plans to lead the squad for her remaining two seasons of eligibility. Wells enjoyed her most successful season yet in her junior campaign, being named the MRGC All-Around Champion, first-team all-conference in both all-around and vault and second-team all-conference in the beam. She also holds the program record for beam in a regional meet with a 9.900 score. Wells boasts three MRGC vault specialist of the week honors and was named MRGC gymnast of the week this past season. Rebecca claimed career-highs in vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around with a 9.900, 9.875, 9.925, 9.900 and 39.475 scores, respectively.

SINGLE-MEET RECORDS: Set the school record for the best all-around score at an NCAA Regional Championships meet with a 39.350 in Session 1 of the second round of the NCAA Norman (Oklahoma) Regional (3/31/22), where she also set the record for best beam score (9.900) in school history at a regional meet… Her 39.350 in the all-around at the Norman Regional is also tied for 19th all-time in school history… Holds the second-best all-around score for a regional meet with a 39.200 in Salt Lake City, Utah (4/2/21), where she also recorded the fourth-best floor score (9.900) and matched the third-best vault score (9.850) in school history at a regional meet… Also holds the sixth-best all-around score in school history with a 39.475 against No. 12 BYU and No. 23 Towson (2/25/22), and the 11th-best all-around score with a 39.400 at the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Championships (3/19/22), which is the third-best score for a conference championship meet… Tied for the eighth-best vault score in school history with a 9.900 at No. 25 Southern Utah (2/11/22)… Tied for the ninth-best beam score in program history with a pair of 9.925s, most recently against No. 24 Southern Utah and Ball State (2/4/22).

Sophomore Year (2021 – Utah State): Competed in all 11 meets during the season… Tied for 12th in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference and tied for 30th in the North Central Region with a National Qualifying Score of 9.825 on vault, averaging 9.798 on the event to rank 10th in school history… Tied for ninth in the MRGC, tied for 24th in the region and tied for 91st in the nation with an NQS of 9.875 on beam… Averaged 9.755 on the event, which ranks 17th all-time in school history… Ranked 16th in the conference and tied for 30th in the region with an NQS of 9.856 on floor, averaging 9.836 on the event to rank 14th all-time in school history… Made her collegiate debut in the all-around at the Salt Lake City NCAA Regional Second Round (4/2), placing sixth with a 39.200, which ranks second all-time for a regional meet… Also tied for third on floor with a career-high 9.900, tied for 14th on vault with a 9.850, tied for 41st on bars with a 9.775 and placed 46th on bars with a 9.775 at regionals… The 9.900 on floor ranks fourth all-time on the event at a regional meet, while the 9.850 on vault is tied for third all-time on the event at regionals… Tied for fourth on beam (9.850), tied for eighth on floor (9.850) and tied for 10th on vault (9.800) at the MRGC Championships (3/20)… Earned her first-career MRGC Vault Specialist of the Week accolade after tying for fourth on vault with a personal-best 9.875 at the Denver Tri Meet (3/7), where she also tied for fifth on beam with a career-high 9.900.

Freshman Year (2020 – Utah State): Averaged 9.800 on floor and 9.633 on vault… Tied for 14th in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference and tied for 31st in the North Central Region with a National Qualifying Score of 9.790 on vault… Recorded then-career-high scores of 9.850 on floor against Boise State (2/7) and No. 17 BYU (3/6), placing third and tying for fourth, respectively… Also had then-personal-best scores of 9.825 on vault to tie for sixth and 9.800 on beam to tie for fourth against BYU.

CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: Trained in the all-around under Matt Baker at Let It Shine Gymnastics in Franklin, Tennessee… The level-10 gymnast placed ninth on beam and in the all-around at the 2019 Junior Olympic National Championships… Finished third on beam and in the all-around, and fifth on vault at regionals… A two-time national qualifier and five-time level 10 regional qualifier… Was the 2017 state champion on beam… Took second on the event at the 2018 state championships… Placed second on beam, floor and in the all-around, and captured third place on bars at the 2019 state championships… Was third on beam and in the all-around at the 2019 region championships… Let It Shine Gymnastics tabbed the 2018 and 2019 Gym of the Year… Graduated from Stewarts Creek High School.
