In addition, the office handles the multitude of interview requests for Clemson student-athletes and coaches.

The SID office also is responsible for publishing brochures for each of Clemson’s 19 varsity sports. During his tenure, Bourret has edited 86 award-winning brochures, including 27 that have dealt with Clemson football.

Outside of the SID office Bourret is active on Clemson’s radio broadcasts and has written a book with former Notre Dame men’s basketball coach Digger Phelps.

Bourret has been the color voice for Clemson men’s basketball since the 1980-81 season and he served in the same capacity for Clemson football between 1982 and 1988.

Phelps and Bourret joined Sports Illustrated’s John Walters in writing the book “Basketball for Dummies.” The book was released in October of 1977 and the group is currently working on an updated version.
