Spirit Cup Competition

By Jonathan Gantt || Clemson Athletic Communications

Another national contest, another opportunity for Clemson fans to show they’re the best in the country.

In anticipation kickoff for the 2014 college football season, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) began their annual Spirit Cup competition that leads to the College Colors Day celebration on August 29.

So how can Clemson win the Spirit Cup? Tiger fans need to get #ClemsonLOUD on social media.

The Spirit Cup is a points-based rivalry that utilizes social media platforms to crown its champion. Tiger fans can earn points for Clemson by doing the following:

1.) Post on Twitter or Instagram using BOTH #collegecolors and #SolidOrange

2.) Bonus points can be earned by sharing those posts via the newly created College Colors app, which is now available for download.

The school with the most points at the end of the competition (obviously Clemson) will be crowned the Spirit Cup champion and receive a $10,000 donation towards its general scholarship fund.

Fans can also register for a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to the inaugural College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship at CollegeColorsDay.com. Full competition and sweepstakes details are available on the website.

The Spirit Cup competition runs through August 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Winners of both the Spirit Cup competition and the College Football Playoff trip will be announced on College Colors Day, Friday, August 29, via CollegeColorsDay.com.
