Clemson, S.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Robbie Robinson as the league’s Offensive Player of the Week earlier today. The honor comes after the junior forward scored three goals and contributed one assist in the Tigers’ 7-4 victory against the Syracuse Orange over the weekend.
In the match against the Orange, Robinson netted his 12th goal and fifth assist of the season. Robinson’s second hat-trick of the year makes him the first Clemson player since 1998 to record multiple hat-tricks in a campaign. This is the second weekly honor of Robinson’s career, after earning the same distinction on Oct. 29, 2018.
This is the first time since 2015 that the program has earned multiple Offensive Player of the Week honors in a single campaign.
With the seven points earned on Saturday night by Robinson, he is now tied with teammate Kimarni Smith as the team’s leader in points, with both players having 29 through the opening 13 games.
