The Collegiate Sports Video Association works to improve the quality of video at every level of collegiate sports. Founded on the idea that video coordinators needed a professional organization to help keep members abreast in this ever changing industry, CSVA has worked hard to strengthen its members by providing educational seminars and a support group for people interested in the world of collegiate video. To recognize leaders in this group, CSVA honors video coordinators from 12 Division I-A leagues who excel in this industry as video coordinators of the year. From these 12 winners comes the Bob Matey/National Video Coordinator of the year named in memory of the late Bob Matey, video coordinator at Texas A&M University.
