Rick Bagby Named Top Video Coordinator In ACC

Clemson, SC–Rick Bagby, Director of Athletic Video Services at Clemson University, as been named the Collegiate Sports Video Association/ACC video coordinator of the year as voted on by his peers in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The award was presented to Bagby at the annual Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) national convention in Atlanta, GA.

Bagby, who is in his third year with the Tigers, oversees an ever growing department. Since his arrival, Bagby has worked to overhaul the Video Services Department with new equipment and technology to help meet the needs of all 19 varsity sports at Clemson. This overhaul has made his department more capable of performing the various tasks needed to help Clemson win in every sport.

Besides his duties at Clemson, Bagby also works vigorously with the video industries professional organizations. He currently serves as the President of the Collegiate Sports Video Association and on the website design team for the Information Display and Entertainment Association (IDEA).

The Collegiate Sports Video Association works to improve the quality of video at every level of collegiate sports. Founded on the idea that video coordinators needed a professional organization to help keep members abreast in this ever changing industry, CSVA has worked hard to strengthen its members by providing educational seminars and a support group for people interested in the world of collegiate video. To recognize leaders in this group, CSVA honors video coordinators from 12 Division I-A leagues who excel in this industry as video coordinators of the year. From these 12 winners comes the Bob Matey/National Video Coordinator of the year named in memory of the late Bob Matey, video coordinator at Texas A&M University.

Bagby, a native of Lexington, NC is married to the former Jennifer Robinson of Mooresville, NC.
