Orange Tops White in Annual Volleyball Scrimmage

CLEMSON, SC – The Orange team defeated the White team, 25-22, 19-25, 15-9, in the annual volleyball scrimmage at Jervey Gym on Friday evening. The match served as the Tigers’ public exhibition match before opening the season next Friday in the 24^th Annual Big Orange Bash. 

Senior middle hitter Karis Watson finished on the Orange team with eight kills and seven blocks. Sophomore Leah Perri added eight kills and 11 digs.  Newcomer Meghan Hanewall added 12 digs and transfer Haleigh Hampton added 4 blocks.

On the other side of the net, Kristin Faust led all players with 18 kills.

The season gets underway next Friday as the Tigers host the 24^th Annual Big Orange Bash on Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. vs. USC Upstate in Jervey Gym.
