On our last day in New York City, we ventured to Madison Square Garden to get a tour of their facility and learn about the operations of their marketing, ticketing, and sales divisions. Our lead, Mark Jackson, gave our scholar-athletes advice about leveraging their skills as competitors, as he is former college football player himself. We transitioned into a panel from executives across all branches of their company. Lastly, we were lead around “the Mecca”, a.k.a. Madison Square Garden, to see the daily operations of the New York Knicks, Rangers, and other events that occur in the arena.
