ORLANDO, Fla. – Clemson men’s soccer head coach Mike Noonan led Team X to a pair of victories to win the scrimmage competition of the 2019 adidas MLS Player Combine. In his squad’s first scrimmage against former Tiger defender Patrick Bunk-Andersen’s Team Predator last Wednesday, Noonan’s Team X played to a 2-0 victory and advanced to take on Team Nemeziz on Saturday. Nemeziz’s roster featured familiar opponents from the likes of ACC foes North Carolina, Wake Forest, Louisville and Notre Dame, but Noonan’s team emerged with a 2-1 victory.
The first two round of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft take place today at the McCormick Place convention center in Chicago, and should Bunk-Andersen be picked, it will mark the sixth straight draft in which at least one Tiger has been selected.
