Clemson Notes:

• The Tigers suffered their first loss of 2017 on Friday, Sept. 8, a 1-0 defeat in their ACC opener at NC State. Clemson has not played since then, as its match with North Florida scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
• Clemson opened the season with four consecutive wins for the first time since 2013.
• The Tigers defeated South Carolina 4-1 on Friday, Sept. 1, and the win was head coach Mike Noonan’s 300th career victory.
• Seniors Diego Campos and Jason Wright lead the team with two goals and an assist each, good for five points. Freshman Kimarni Smith also has two goals, including the overtime game-winner against Georgia Southern on Sept. 4.
• Junior Patrick Bunk-Andersen, sophomore Malick Mbaye and freshman Justin Malou have also found the back of the net for the Tigers this season. Bunk-Andersen scored his goal against the Gamecocks and earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 5 as a result.
• Sophomore Harrison Kurtz leads the team with two assists.
• Junior goalkeeper Ximo Miralles has totaled 12 saves against four goals allowed in just over 400 minutes, while freshman goalkeeper Daniel Kuzemka has allowed no goals with one save in 55 minutes.
• Clemson is ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

Boston College Notes:

• The Eagles opened the season with two 4-0 wins over Quinnipiac and Boston University before losing their next three consecutive matches against New Hampshire, Xavier and Notre Dame.
• Junior Simon Enstrom has scored four goals and assisted on two more in the Eagles’ five games.
• Freshman goalkeeper Antonio Chavez Borrelli has played in all five of Boston College’s games, allowing seven goals against 18 saves. Sophomore goalkeeper Jack Bacon has played in three games, allowing one goal with seven saves.
• Boston College finished 2016 with a 9-9-3 overall record and a 3-3-2 record in the ACC. Clemson halted Boston College’s run in the ACC Championship with a 1-0 win in the semifinals, and a 3-0 loss to Albany in the second round of the NCAA Tournament ended the Eagles’ season. 

Series Notes:

• The Tigers and Eagles met twice in 2016, with the first being a 0-0 overtime tie at Chestnut Hill, Mass. in the regular season, and the second being a 1-0 Clemson victory at home in the semifinals of the ACC Championship.
• Clemson has beaten or tied Boston College in 10 straight matchups, with the last loss coming in 2009 on the road.
• Dating back to 2005, Clemson leads the overall series 8-3-5.
