WATCH THE SELECTION SHOW AT 5:00 PM

The Clemson women’s tennis team will learn their NCAA Tournament fate on Tuesday, May 1, at 5:00 pm during the Selection Show, which will air on NCAA.com. The Tigers are 15-9 overall, finished with an 8-3 record in the ACC, and are ranked 23rd in the nation according to the ITA Poll. The NCAA takes 64 teams to the annual tournament, which will be held on campus sites for the first two rounds, which begin on May 11.

The third round through the team Championships, as well as the individual tournaments, will be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Georgia from May 17-28.

The Tigers have been selected to the NCAA Tournament in each of the previous ten seasons, and have seen much success in that period, accumulating a 21-10 record during that time. In fact, in the past eight seasons, Clemson has reached seven Sweet 16s and advanced to Final Fours in 2004 and 2005. The Tigers have an active streak of five straight seasons advancing to the third round.

Eight of Clemson’s nine losses this season have come to top-15 teams nationally.

A couple of Tigers will await word on individual bids to the Singles and Doubles portion of the tournament, which will be announced on May 2. Senior Keri Wong is looking to make her second straight singles appearance, as she is ranked 43nd in the nation. She and Josipa Bek, Clemson’s most successful doubles team of all time, are ranked 12th in the nation, and hoping for a bid to the Doubles Championship. They advanced to the Finals last season, and finished the year ranked 2nd nationally.
