N.C. State Defeats Clemson 5-2

RALEIGH, NC – N.C. State defeated Clemson 5-2 in a men’s Atlantic Coast Conference tennis match at Raleigh, NC Friday afternoon.

With the win, N.C. State improves to 13-5 overall and 1-2 in the ACC. Clemson falls to 15-3 overall and 1-2 in league play. N.C. State is ranked 46th nationally, while the Tigers are ranked 33rd.

The Tigers’ Kevin Galloway defeated Rob Lowe at number three singles 6-1, 6-4 for one of the Tigers victories today. Galloway now has a 20-7 record overall in singles and a 16-2 mark in dual matches to lead the Tigers in both categories.

Clemson’s Juan Bolona defeated Fernando Banos at number six singles 6-4, 5-7, 10-6 for the Tigers’ second team point of the afternoon.

The Tigers will continue this road trip with a match at Wake Forest on Sunday. The Demon Deacons are ranked 26th.
