Want to know some of the game day “must sees” that will be happening at the Clemson football game this weekend other than football? Below is a list of in-game ceremonies and presentations that are worthy of staying in your seat!

Pregame

Football Parents: As a part of senior day, we would also like to introduce and recognize Clemson Football senior parents.

PR Reunion: Help us acknowledge the 75 years of excellence and being the only remaining student organization specializing in drill and ceremony.

Ranger Club Check Presentation: The Captain Philip B. Piazza Memorial 5K Run helped raise over $2,000 worth or funds for the scholarship endowment for Clemson Student-Veterans.

Flyover: At the end of the National Anthem, 4 post-World War II Warbirds will be flying over Memorial Stadium!

Military Parachute Team: Following the Alma Mater, be sure to look in the sky for two Paratroopers who will be delivering both American and Clemson flags as well as the game ball.

Clemson Seniors: The Clemson Football seniors will be recognized for all of their hard work and accomplishments that they have achieved through their careers as Clemson student-athletes.

Familiar Faces Running Down the Hill: Help us welcome back Clemson football alum, who are now active duty members of the military – Scotty Cooper, Nelson Faerber, Mason Cloy, and Alex Pearson as they will join the team running down the Hill.

Dotting the “i”: As the Tiger Band spells out “Tigers” during their pre-game entrance, look for Student Cadet Commanders. William McMullan from the Marines, Cadet Lieutenant Rollins Jolly from Army ROTC and Cadet Drew Stephens from Air Force ROTC will all act as the dot on top of the “i.”

Honorary Letterwinner Coin Toss: Clemson football alum and active duty in the military Scotty Cooper, Nelson Faerber, Mason Cloy, and Alex Pearson will join the Clemson and Georgia State captains for the coin toss. National Guard Staff Sergeant Eric Bamberg, Sergeant Kyle Caldwell, and Chief of Staff will also join the toss.

First Quarter

Clemson Soccer Team: The Men’s Soccer team defeated Louisville in the ACC Championship game this past Sunday and will be acknowledged for their grand accomplishment

Hero of the Game Fans have been asked to submit a nomination form highlighting deserving Veteran or Active Duty Military member. 1934 Clemson grad and 101-year-old World War II and Korean War Veteran, George Boucher will be honored for their service.

Professor of the Game: Dr. Kevin Taaffe, Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering, leads a team that is innovating the process of surgical safety and efficiency through means of communication.

Military Dignitary Recognition: Look for some high ranking special guests in the West Endzone as we recognize several military dignitaries.

Vietnam Anniversary Ceremony: This special presentation officially designates Clemson University and U.S. Army Cadet Command as commemorative partners in the nation’s effort to thank and honor Vietnam veterans.

2nd Quarter

Vietnam POW’s: Commander Bob Fant and Major William Austin both with both be honored as representatives of the many POW’s during the Vietnam War.

Half Time

Tiger Band Performance: The Clemson University Tiger Band will be putting on a show that fans don’t want to miss!

Armed Forced Medley: The Tiger Band will help recognize Military Veterans by playing each of the five branches’ song.

Fallen Soldiers: Family members of fallen soldiers from the current war that are from the state of South Carolina were invited to commemorate those who have served.

Ranger Club: Look for the wreath along with helmets and boots on top of rifles at the east 5 yard line.

21 Gun Salute: This will be conducted by the Pershing Rifles in the East Endzone.

3rd Quarter

Wounded Warriors: A group of four Marines will be recognized during this presentation for their valiant efforts and service.

Honor Flight Presentation: This check presentation helps send World War II Veterans to Washington D.C. to observe their history.
