Miyamoto Set to Compete in Clemson Pentathlon This Friday

Renata Miyamoto will be one of 18 athletes competing this weekend in the Clemson pentathlon championship, which will be held Friday at the Indoor Track & Field Complex. The native of Sao Paulo, Brazil will compete in the 800m run, 60m hurdles, long jump, high jump, and shot put. She will compete against athletes from Appalachian State, Auburn, Florida State, South Carolina, and Troy.

Miyamoto competed in her first event of the indoor season last weekend at the Clemson Invitational. She scored for the Lady Tigers in three events, the 60m hurdles, triple jump, and long jump. After just one event, she holds the team’s top marks in both the 60m hurdles and long jump.
