Men’s Track & Field Travels to Atlanta for Georgia Tech Invitational

The Clemson men’s track & field team will travel to Atlanta, GA to take part in the Georgia Tech Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track Complex on Friday and Saturday. The meet will be Clemson’s last chance to qualify individuals for the East Region Championships, which will be held in Greensboro, NC on May 26-27.

Kicking off Clemson’s action on Friday will be freshman Itay Magidi and Sean Reilly.

Danny Alge will compete in the hammer throw on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. Alge also has posted regional marks in that event. At 3:00 PM, Roy Cheney and Lydell Perry will compete in the 110m hurdle trials. Cheney has qualified for regionals. Jason Bell looks to better his mark of 51’5.75″.

Brian Knapp hopes to qualify for regionals in the 800m at 5:25. The senior is just shy of posting the required time in that event. Andy Porter and Rashad Gardner in the 400m intermediate hurdles at 8:10 PM. Several Tigers are close to hitting regional marks in that event.
