The Clemson men’s track & field team will travel to Philadelphia, PA to take part in the prestigious Penn Relays this weekend. The Tigers will compete in eight events, beginning Thursday evening, at the 112th annual track & field classic from Franklin Field.

So far this season, Clemson has 12 regional qualifiers and three NCAA provisional qualifiers. On Friday at 9:00 AM, Rashad Gardner and Andy Porter will compete in the 400m hurdles. Both athletes will be looking to post their first regional marks of the season in that event. At 2:45, Roy Cheney, Brent Hobbs, Gardner, and Ryan Koontz will make up Clemson’s shuttle hurdle relay team.

Brian Knapp, and Clay Pendleton for the distance medley relay competition.

Two student-athletes will compete on Saturday for Clemson. Danny Alge will be in the hammer throw at 12:15 PM and look to top his personal best of 200’9″, which he accomplished earlier this season. Jason Bell, also an All-ACC honoree, will be in the triple jump at 2:00. Should Padgett advance to the 100m final, that event will take place at 4:00 on Saturday.
