CLEMSON, SC – Clemson won five of the six singles matches after winning the doubles point as the Tigers defeated East Carolina in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Clemson, SC Saturday afternoon. With the win, Clemson improves to 1-1, while East Carolina falls to 0-3 this season.

Clemson completed its tennis double header with a 7-0 win over Erskine in a men’s intercollegiate tennis match at Clemson, SC Saturday afternoon. Earlier the Tigers defeated East Carolina 6-1. With the win, Clemson is now 2-1 on the season. Erskine falls to 0-1 this year. This was the first time since 1957 that the two teams have met in men’s tennis.
The Tigers will participate in the University of Minnesota Invitational next weekend, February 8-10. Besides Clemson and Minnesota, SMU and Boise State will also play in the tournament.
