Lexington Clemson Club Boosts Tiger Pride

April 20, 2001

A $5,000 donation to the Tiger Pride Campaign was presented to Coach Tommy Bowden and Coach Larry Shyatt at the annual Lexington County Clemson Club Meeting on Thursday, April 19.

The club’s donation to Clemson’s Athletic Facilities Capital Campaign is a unique one. Lexington is the first club to raise this large of a sum of money to be used specifically for Tiger Pride.

Jim Bull, president of the Lexington Clemson Club, said, “We hope this is a benchmark – one which other Clemson Clubs will try to follow.”

Clemson University and IPTAY would like to thank each member of the Lexington County Clemson Club for their support of Tiger Pride and setting a goal for other clubs to achieve.

Members raised most of the funds through their annual Lexington County Clemson Club Golf Tournament.
