CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson middle distance runner John Lewis has been named the ACC Track Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. The junior garners his second straight ACC weekly award and is the second of his career.Lewis won the men’s 800m at Texas A&M’s Ted Nelson Invitational Saturday in College Station, Texas. The Philadelphia, Pa., native ran a 1:49.22 in the event to put him atop of the ACC performance list. His time in the 800m is also good for No. 4 in the NCAA.

Lewis was named last week’s ACC Track Performer of the Week after setting the program and facility record in the 1000m at the Orange & Purple on Jan. 6.
Up next, the Tigers return to the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex to host the Clemson Invitational. The meet will commence Friday and Saturday (Jan. 19-20).
