Leah Perri Named to 2013 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team

CLEMSON, SC – Freshman health science major Leah Perri has been named to the 2013 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team by the conference office on Thursday. Perri, an ACC All-Freshman team selection this season, is one of just five freshmen named to the 33-member team. She is the first Clemson player be named to the All-Academic and All-Freshman team in the same season.

Perri had a strong freshman season on the court, tallying the most kills (302) by a first-year player since Sandra Adeleye in 2009. Perri was a two-time ACC Freshman of the Week, and led the Tigers with a .287 hitting percentage, the first freshman to do so since Alexa Rand hit .391 in 2009. She finished second on the team with 338.5 points, an average of 2.75 per set.
