Clemson (5-11, 1-4 ACC) split with the Deacs last season, with each team winning on the other’s home court. The game will be broadcast on WakeForestSports.com, and audio will be available on the Clemson Tiger Sports Network. Gametracker is also at Clemsontigers.comBoth teams are looking for a second conference win on the young season, as Clemson dropped a ranked North Carolina squad on the road last week, before falling to NC State on Thursday night in Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson has been playing solid defense of late, holding six of the last eight opponents below 60 points and six in a row below .400 shooting from the field. Clemson has held opponents below .400 shooting in 12 of the last 13 halves as well. The Tigers are 11th in the nation in shot-blocking at 6.0 per game. Lindsey Mason can move alone into second in school history with her next blocked shots, as she has recorded 129 in her career. She currently ranks third in the ACC in shot-blocking. Clemson’s strong contributions form the true freshman class has continued, as 56 percent of the team’s minutes have gone to first-year players. They’ve combined for a little over half of the scoring, and 63 percent of the assists. Nikki Dixon leads Clemson at 12.1 points per game, second among all league players, and scored 17 in the most recent game. Kelly Gramlich is up to 8.5 points per game after a game-high 18 against NC State, including 16 in the second half. Clemson will play Wake before retuning home to play a top-ten ranked Duke team on Friday at 8:30 pm in a televised contest. Tickets for that game are available for $1.00.
