BLACKSBURG, VA – The Clemson women’s basketball team will play Virginia Tech Thursday night (January 3) at 7:00 p.m. in Blacksburg, VA.
Clemson has a 9-3 record overall and is riding a six-game winning streak with the last victory occurring on Sunday, December 30 with a 74-70 win over Florida State.
The Lady Tigers are led in scoring by Chrissy Floyd with a 17.4 ppg. Maggie Slosser leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with a 6.0 rpg. mark. Virginia Tech has a 9-2 record overall and has also won its last six games. Sarah Hicks leads the Hokies is scoring with a 13.2 ppg. average. Ieva Kublina leads the squad in rebounding with a 6.9 rpg. average.
This will be the fourth meeting between Clemson and Virginia Tech on the basketball court. The Lady Tigers lead the overall series 3-0. Clemson defeated the Hokies 80-59 last season in Littlejohn Coliseum. The Lady Tigers’ Head Coach Jim Davis is 1-0 vs. Virginia Tech.
