Clemson Notes:

  • Tuesday’s matchup marks Clemson’s final non-conference contest before ACC play begins on Jan. 3 at North Carolina.
  • Freshman Danielle Edwards was just named ACC Rookie of the Week following her 20-point performance in the Lady Tigers’ win over UNC-Asheville on Dec. 21. She is the first Clemson rookie to garner the honor since the 2012-13 season.
  • Edwards is the only ACC freshman to record three 20-point games this season and is one of seven ACC players to record three double-doubles this season (vs. Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina and Furman).
  • Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging a team-best 13.5 points per game and has scored in double-figures seven of the eight games she has appeared in.
  • Clemson ranks fifth in the ACC in three-point field goal percentage defense (.286), sixth in the league in field goal percentage defense (.368) and fifth in blocks per game (4.8).
  • Sophomore Victoria Cardaci has knocked down 25 three-pointers through twelve games. She is averaging 2.1 three-point makes per game, good for ninth in the ACC.

  • Clemson leads the overall series with Florida A&M 1-0, as the Lady Tigers defeated the Rattlers 76-45 on March 12, 1999 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Clemson, S.C.
  • Florida A&M has posted a 5-7 (0-1 MEAC) record this season, with two of those losses coming at the hands of North Carolina and Southern California.
  • Senior Olivia Antilla leads Florida A&M in scoring at 16.4 points per game and ranks ninth in the NCAA in three-point makes this season.
