SACRAMENTO, CA – Gisele Oliveira led the Clemson women’s track and field team as it continued competition at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Championships at the A.G. Spanos Sports Complex on the campus of Sacramento State University on Thursday. Oliveira set a school-record mark of 44’4.75″ in the triple jump en route to an automatic berth in the finals of the event. The sophomore from Porto Alegre, Brazil, improved on her previous school-record mark of 43’11.75″ on her first attempt in the event on the second day of the national meet. Oliveira’s preliminary mark was the third-best of the day. She earned All-America honors in the event one year ago.
