Clemson, S.C. — Clemson Head Golf Coach Kelley Hester has announced that Savannah Grewal has signed a national letter of intent with the Tigers program. Grewal comes to Clemson from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Grewal is set to graduate from Streetsville Secondary in Mississauga, Ontario at the end of June, 13 months after committing to Clemson. In 2018, she won the AJGA Hale Irwin Colorado Junior with a one-under par 215 to earn her first AJGA Championship. She also advanced to the round of 64 at the US Junior Girls Championship. In 2017 she became the first Canadian to win the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship that is held at Augusta National, taking the crown in the girls 14-15 Division.
According to Golfweek and Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings, Grewal is the highest ranked Canadian women’s golfer. She is ranked 34th by Golfweek and 12th in her class and 33rd overall by Junior Golf Scoreboard. She also has never missed a cut in an AJGA event.
