The Clemson freshmen student-athletes ended their summer immersion and fall semester Personal Growth and Development (PGD) course with a Dining Etiquette and Professional Conduct Dinner conducted by Julie Newman from the Michelin Career Center in the McFadden Building on Sunday, November 7. In addition to learning formal dining tips, the student-athletes also learned the art of handling introductions, shaking hands and making conversation.

The dinner also served as an opportunity to review highlights of the course in the form of a trivia competition, with the winning teams earning an hour of study hall credit for their efforts! The PGD course is part of the Vickery Hall Student-Athlete Life Skills Program which targets the transitional needs of freshmen student-athletes. The weekly class topics include notebook and time management, health and wellness issues, career development and community service and leadership.
