CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson freshman Roje Stona has been named the ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Stona posted the nation’s No. 4 mark in the discus – 61.22m (200-10) – to win the Florida Relays title on Saturday. Stona’s performance currently ranks first in the ACC, a category he has led in all season long. Stona ranks first in the NCAA among all freshmen with a four-meter cushion. While at Florida Relays, the Montego Bay, Jamaica native also achieved Clemson’s freshman record and No. 2 program mark in the event.
The Tigers return to track Saturday, April 6 at Texas A&M’s ‘The Reveille’, which is slated to commence at 12:30 p.m. Events on the track are scheduled for 5 p.m. and will air on SEC Network +. Live results will post on ClemsonTigers.com when they become available.
