Football Home Game Designations Set

Feb. 28, 2006

Special home game designations have been established by the Clemson Athletic Department for the 2006 football season. The Tigers have seven games in Clemson Memorial Stadium in 2006, the first time Clemson has had seven home games since 2003 and just the ninth time in school history. The Tigers will play a 12-game regular season schedule for just the third time.

The season opener on September 2 against Florida Atlantic has been designated IPTAY Day and the day that the 2006 Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame class will be inducted. The North Carolina game on September 23 will be Family Weekend and also the day of the 25-year anniversary celebration of Clemson’s 1981 National Championship team.

The Louisiana Tech game on September 30 has been designated Youth Day, while Homecoming will be celebrated on October 21 when Georgia Tech comes to Clemson. The NC State game on November 11 will be Military Appreciation Day, and the South Carolina game on November 25 will be One Clemson-Solid Orange Day.

Game times will be set at a later date.
