Eidukonyte Competes in Riviera/ITA All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Senior Joana Eidukonyte was in action at the Riviera/ITA All-American in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Oct. 8-9. Eidukonyte was one of 32 players to qualify for the singles main draw at the event.

In the Round of 16 on Thursday, Eidukonyte, ranked 11^th in the ITA preseason singles rankings, fell to 32^nd-ranked Belinda Woolcock of Florida, 6-1, 6-4. In the Consolation Round of 16, Eidukonyte battled back in the second set, but ultimately dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to Pepperdine’s Luisa Stefani.

The Clemson women’s tennis team will be back in action on Oct. 16-18 at the Georgia Invite, where the Tigers will face competition from Georgia, Michigan and Princeton at the Windward Lake Club in Atlanta.
