Clemson, SC – Clemson Head Coach Jim Davis has announced the signing of three members of his 2002-03 freshman class. The newest Lady Tigers are Julie Talley of Seneca, SC, Amanda White of Greenville, SC and Lauren Allen of Dekalb, GA. All three are all-state performers and ranked among the best players in the Southeast.
Talley averaged 20 points and five steals per game as a 5-6 guard at Seneca High School. She made 48 percent of her three-point attempts and 61 percent overall. She also shot an impressive 81 percent from the foul line as a junior. She has already been named an All-Regional selection three times and was the Region I Player of the Year in 2001. She is ranked as one of the top 100 players in the nation by Adidas.
White is a 6-4 center from Hillcrest High School and was named class 4A All-state as a junior. She was also an all-region selection and is a top 100 player according to Adidas heading into her senior season.
Allen is a 6-2 frontcourt player who was an all-state and all-region selection as a junior. Her Southwest DeKalb team won the region championship last year.
