Cross Country Heads to Furman

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Tigers look to build off a good start to the season at the Furman University Cross Country Classic on Saturday. The meet will be held at the Furman University Golf Course, with the women’s 6k beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the men’s 8k following at 9:15.

This marks the second straight year Clemson has competed at Furman. Last season, the Tigers were paced by eighth-place finishes from Grace Barnett and Roland Hakes, who will both be competing again this weekend.

Barnett continues to lead the women’s team, opening with a third-place finish at the Clemson Invitational on Aug. 30. She led the women’s team to victory. The men, who also finished first, were paced by a runner-up finish from Aaron Ramirez.
