Clemson, S.C. – The men’s cross country team was distinguished earlier today as honorees of the NCAA’s prestigious Public Recognition Award, an award based upon placing within the top 10 percent of teams within one’s sport category from the Academic Progress Report data released in May 2019. The honor is bestowed upon programs for their performance during the 2017-2018 academic and athletic campaigns.
The men’s cross country team was one of six athletic teams from Clemson to receive the Public Recognition Award, with the cross country side earning the honor for the third consecutive year. Clemson was one of five ACC schools to have a men’s cross country team make the list this past year.
