COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast To Provide Coverage of Clemson Sports

Birmingham, Ala.–COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast announced today that it will provide in-depth live, highlight and replay coverage of Clemson University athletics. The agreement, between Birmingham based Collegiate Sports Partners, Ltd., a multimedia marketing firm handling Clemson athletics, and COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast will provide highlight telecasts of every football game, selected men’s and women’s basketball games as well as baseball and other sports to major system operators throughout the Southeast.

“The opportunity to telecast Clemson University athletic events will be a tremendous enhancement to our current programming line up,” said Gary Andrich, vice president and general manager of COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast.

COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast will begin its coverage of Clemson athletics with a live baseball game featuring the Georgia Bulldogs at Clemson, Tuesday night, April 11, at 7:15 EST. South Carolina faces Clemson on April 12, at 7:15 p.m. EST in a live telecast on the network. COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast will also provide coverage of the Clemson spring football game scheduled for April 15.

Veteran sportscaster and College Sports Central anchor, Doug Bell, will be the principal announcer for the Clemson television broadcasts. Bell has provided play-by-play analysis for Big 12 Conference basketball, SEC baseball, NFL Europe and Alabama football pay-per-view and replay.

Cecil “Hootie” Ingram will accompany Bell serving as color analyst during Clemson football replay television broadcasts. Ingram served as Clemson head football coach 1970-72. In 1973, Ingram began his administrative career as associate commissioner to the Southeastern Conference. He has served as athletic director to both Florida State University and the University of Alabama. Inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1991, Ingram recently was elected to the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame.

COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast is a cable television and interactive web network totally dedicated to college sports in the Southeast. The network is to be the source for college sports concerning college athletics in a nine state area to include: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee. COLLEGE SPORTS Southeast provides live and replay telecasts of new and traditional rivalries as well as championships and original programming.
