Thomas Allen

Thomas Allen is entering his first season as a defensive analyst and assistant linebackers coach at Clemson in 2025.

Allen joined the Tigers after spending the 2024 season as a defensive analyst and analytic coordinator at Penn State, helping the Lions to a school-record 13 wins and a berth in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Allen played linebacker at Indiana from 2017-21, collecting 56 tackles (3.5 for loss), one sack, one interception and one forced fumble in 32 career games. He was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection from 2018-21. Following his playing career, he served two seasons at Indiana as a defensive graduate assistant from 2022-23.

Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in management from Indiana in 2021 and added his MBA in 2022. He is married to his wife and former Hoosier softball standout, Annika, and has a son, Tommy. He is also the son of Clemson Defensive Coordinator Tom Allen, for whom he played at Indiana.
