Position: Executive Coordinator for the Head Coach & Director of Player Family Engagement
.Ashley Spiers joined Clemson Football on a full-time basis in 2017 and currently serves as Director of Player Family Engagement & Executive Coordinator to the Head Football Coach.
Spiers directs and manages all game day logistics and ticketing requests as the program’s primary liaison for player families. In addition, she serves as the point of contact for the Head Coach and assists with all major events such as the High School Coaches Clinic, Pro Day and Dabo Swinney Ladies Clinic.
Before officially being named to her current title in 2022, Spiers served as the Assistant to the Head Football Coach from 2017-21. She graduated from Clemson in 2016 after working all four years as a Tiger Pride student assistant with Clemson’s recruiting efforts.
Spiers’ family ties to Clemson are deep-rooted.
Her father, Bill, played football and baseball for the Tigers from 1985-87, before becoming the No. 13 overall pick in the 1987 MLB Draft. After a 13-year MLB career, Bill returned to Clemson as a member of the football staff from 2016-23, earning his undergraduate degree at 51 in 2018 and concluding his career as Director of Special Teams prior to his retirement.. Her brother, Will, was Clemson’s starting punter from 2016-21, and her sister, Mary Crosby, also graduated from Clemson and married Drew Swinney in 2023.
