Clemson’s Women’s Track And Field To Compete At Kroger Invitational

The Clemson women’s track and field will compete at the Kroger Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17-18 in Blacksburg, VA. The meet is hosted by Virginia Tech at Rector Fieldhouse, where the Lady Tigers will face off against some of the top teams in the region.

The Clemson women’s team will take to the track beginning at 5:00 PM Friday with the trials of the 60m hurdles in which Lauren Nicholson, Marquita Dortch and Keshia Haughton will compete. Also at 5:00 PM, Allison Bradshaw and Mary Gosselin will compete in the weight throw, while Becky Adnot compete in the pole vault. At 5:40 PM, the meet continues with the 60m dash trials, featuring Shannon Murray, Randi Hinton, Ramera Nero, JaToya Moore and Kaprice Williams. Katrina Moultrie will compete in the 600m run at 6:20 PM, and Gisele Oliveira will represent the Lady Tigers in the triple jump at 6:30 PM. The Lady Tigers’ distance medley relay of Casey Phillips, Laura Ann Rukat, Angela Thomas and Shakirah Rutherford will compete at 8:15 PM.

Saturday’s competition begins at 10:00 AM with Katie Pickett in the high jump, and Keshia Haughton and Angela Thomas in the shot put. The 400m will be contested at 11:00 AM, featuring Clemson’s Randi Hinton, Silja Ulfarsdottir, Kaprice Williams, Shannon Murray and Denise Cruse. Marquita Dortch will compete in the mile at 12:05 PM. The finals of the 60m hurdles will be run at 12:50 PM, and the long jump will begin at 1:00 PM as Lauren Nicholson, Keshia Haughton and Gisele Oliveira compete for the Lady Tigers. The finals of the 60m dash are slated for 1:35 PM, followed by Angela Thomas in the 800m at 1:45 PM. At 2:40 PM, Randi Hinton, Silja Ulfarsdottir, Danielle Whaley, Ramera Nero will compete in the 200m. Jennifer Hooten will compete in the 3000m run at 3:50 PM, then the Lady Tigers’ 4x400m relay teams will take to the track at 4:45 PM to conclude the weekend’s competition.
