Clemson’s Jamine Moton Earns ACC Performer Of The Week Honors

CLEMSON, SC – Jamine Moton, a senior member of the Clemson women’s track and field team, earned Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Track and Field Performer of the Week honors following her NCAA qualifying performances at the Kroger Invitational. A native of Glassboro, NJ, Moton posted a pair of second-place finishes over the weekend, including an automatic qualifying mark in the weight throw and a provisional mark in the shot put. She recorded a personal-best and career-record mark of 68’6″ in the weight throw, breaking the previous school record of 68’0.5″ which she set at the 2001 Ikon Invitational. She also posted a mark of 49’7.25″ in the shot put after recording an automatic qualifying mark of 53’10.5″ at the Terrapin Invitational.

The Clemson women’s track and field team will return to action this weekend, Jan. 25-26, at the North Carolina Invitational.
